IMPORTANCE OF LADLI FOUNDATION
Ladli Foundation is a registered entity under Foreign Contribution Regulatory Act. Ladli Foundation is a non-profit organization. It was launched in the year 2010 with a vision to change the lives of girl children in the country. A significant population of children in rural India does not have access to basic modern-day digital facilities, however, some of them do have smartphones. In a step to empower them with quality learning content through smart devices is a big step in their development. Ladli Foundation took many initiatives during the Covid 19 pandemic some of which included donating milk for the new born babies of the domestic workers and refugees who lost their jobs in the pandemic and providing relief supplies of essential items like dry ration, milk, sanitary pads, masks and hand wash to the domestic workers and labourers in different slums of Delhi and NCR.
Ladli Foundation is a grassroots level non profit organization which is known for implementing impactful and innovative social initiatives to uplift vulnerable people in urban and rural slums. The Ladli Foundation takes intiativies to provide basic education to street children and child ragpickers, pathanshala conducts workshops and educates students from slums and villages.
Some of the initiatives taken by the Ladli Foundation are:
Education for All
Ladli Foundation also runs a project for providing vocational training to financially uplift uneducated women, especially the ones facing domestic abuse.
Family Planning and Reproductive Health
Mission Saheli is one of top campaigns of the Ladli Foundation that advocates family planning and reproductive health.
Gender and Human Rights
A half marathon run for Ladli Foundation was organized in association with Delhi Police and the Shagun project are major initiatives aimed at creating an equal society by stopping crimes against women and stopping the exploitation of women through any means.
Drug Prevention and Youth Development
Ladli Foundation's 'The Josh' aims to divert young minds from any kind of substance abuse and crimes in the slums. Young people are involved in various physical activities and programmes like sports training, yoga and orientation sessions and their mind is diverted into positive areas.
